This is Aiko. She comes from somewhere in Tokyo. I told her i´d never been in Tokyo, but really loved to go there. She smiled at me when i said that.
"I´m just two stations away from you" she said the last time we spoke before we met. "Are you in a hurry? Will you wait for me?" "Of course i´ll wait for you", i said. Meeting this woman was surely a moment well worth waiting for.
Maybe she was still in a bit of shock on our way up the escalator at the Central station where we decided to meet. I stood on the upper stair, looking down on her far below, since she was much shorter than me. "The other way round would have felt better", i remember thinking to myself. By then, at least five of her friends were engaged in our story, trying to make us connect as soon as possible, not knowing that we were already smiling at each other.
Aiko, from Tokyo, that´s about what i know of her. And yes, she studies textile design at Konstfack for two years, but that´s about it.
What i do know is that she forgot her computer on a bench at the subway platform. And i found it. The computer was still on, so It took me just a few minutes to figure out her name and her telephone number, and five of her friends number as well which i called because she didn´t answer my first calls.
This is probably the first and only picture i´ll have with me and Aiko together, so i will take good care of it. But maybe, maybe, in five years in Tokyo, when i forget my computer on a bench in Tokyo ... I wouldn´t be surprised if that happened.
"Hello Kharma, nice to meet you – again".
Update! Hello Aiko. Nice knowing you :P
